In September, Sky participated in large community fundraising event that pulled together hundreds of people, raising more than $100,000 for local charities in our area. Sky participated in a mechanical bull competition that raised a good portion of the funds. Nevin presented her with a custom belt buckle for her participation in the event.
Also in September, quarry foreman Justin Eddison celebrated 25 years at Nelson Granite.
In December, quarry salesman Barry Kingston celebrated 30 years at Nelson Granite.
This month (January 2026), VP Scott Nelson celebrated 25 years with the family business. Starting off cutting grass and wrapping sticks, Scott has worked his way up through every division of the company and is now VP of manufacturing, the fifth generation in this close-knit family operation.
